I have gone into the Administrative tools and can see the drive under disk management. both don't seem to recognise the USB HHD in "My Computer". the freshly installed laptop and/or my desktop. It is an ATA 2.5 SATA USB enclosure and the "old Drive" is a Fujitsu MHV2980 80gb.
I have placed the Old HHD into an external USB enclosure and now wish to retreve some of my important data (outlook stuff in particualr).
looked at all the expert opinions etc.gave up.īought a new internal HHD for the laptop - installed a clean operating system from my recovery disks and eveything works as it should. It would log on and then immediately Log off (some sort of loop). Then after a couple of reboots i Kept getting stuck at the welcome screen (Windows XP Professional SP2) whereby it came up with "Owner", after clicking logon. Contracted a virus (Infostealer) on My Sony VAIO notebook VGN-4330P.
